How we practice responsible travel in Mu Cang Chai

Right at the foot of Khau Pha Pass lies It Thai Village. Here, our founder and company have supported a community-based tourism project since 2018.

Together with local Thái families, we have helped renovate traditional stilt houses into welcoming homestays, such as Quyết Đoản Homestay; and design tour projects that preserve the village’s original cultural character and connection to nature. Through DCT Responsible Travel tours, travelers have the opportunity to stay with local families in Ít Thái, experience the rhythm of village life, and take part in meaningful cultural activities.

More than creating travel experiences, this collaboration helps local people build the skills, confidence, and services needed to operate homestays, share their heritage with dignity, and develop tourism in a way that is deeply connected to their identity.
