Just 70 km southwest of Ho Chi Minh City, the Mekong Delta opens up a vast region of winding rivers, lush orchards, and fertile rice fields. Known as Vietnam’s “rice bowl,” this southern region is shaped by the mighty Mekong River, locally called Sông Cửu Long, meaning “River of Nine Dragons.” As it enters Vietnam, the river divides into two main branches, the Tiền and Hậu rivers, traditionally associated with nine outlets flowing into the East Sea.
Life here has long followed the rhythm of the river. From bustling local markets and traditional craft villages to peaceful canals shaded by coconut palms, the Mekong Delta offers a glimpse into rural southern Vietnam.

In the morning, we pick you up from your hotel and take you to Can Tho or Cai Be. You board your comfortable wooden river cruise vessel around noon. After a refreshing welcome drink, we show you our onboard facilities and your cozy cabin. As lunch is served, the boat starts cruising. Sit back and watch the fantastic scenery and the daily life of the Mekong people.

In the afternoon you can disembark for a guided leisurely stroll through a village and the surrounding fruit orchards or rice fields. Meet the friendly locals and taste the local produce and fruits.
Facilities on the Mekong Eyes cruise
Get back on board and enjoy a drink at the bar or relax on deck as the sun sets over the magnificent water landscape of the Mekong River. The cruise boat will anchor for the night. The day ends with a delicious on-board dinner. You stay overnight on board your floating hotel in the Mekong Delta.
Note:
- Our cruise boat tours leave from Can Tho to Cai Be (on odd dates, e. g. Sept 1, 3, 5, 7, etc.) or from Cai Be to Can Tho (on even dates, e. g. Sept. 2, 4, 6, 8, etc.).
- Cruise trip departs daily except 31st day of the month and 29th day of February.
- The drive to/from Cai Be takes about 2 hours, and to/from Can Tho approx. 4 hours.

Wake up well-rested to the sound of the river and get ready for another exciting day of sightseeing in the Mekong Delta. At 6.30h the cruise vessel sets off for a sunrise cruise. Watch the locals do their daily work drying exotic fruits and building ships on the wooden yards while enjoying an early breakfast.
Vibrant floating market in Mekong Delta
After breakfast, we will board a sampan boat to Cai Rang floating market, the region’s busiest and most lively market. Marvel at the sheer abundance of exotic fruits, vegetables, and skilfully handcrafted regional products. We will pull up to the boats to talk with the merchants.
On odd dates, you will join an excursion rowing sampan to explore the small channels of the Mekong Delta around Cai Be while enjoying “Đờn ca tài tử” (Folk Music) and visit home-made handicrafts family on Tan Phong islet. You will then cycle by riding on back roads or walking in a small village along the Mekong Canals.
Disembark around noon and have lunch at a local restaurant. Our shuttle bus will bring you back to Saigon center around 17:00.

This is a shared group cruise, with a maximum capacity of 28 guests. Price per person is based on two guests sharing one cabin.
